I love 3 year olds

the fish
pulling everything off her bed (there is a LOT of things on her bed!)

I love that when i ask her for help, she comes running! (as opposed to her sister, who resists) today I asked her if she want to help me take the sheets off the beds, and she came running and was so excited to help.
She loves this fish - it has to be right next to her in bed. Does she sleep on it? no. she tells me "it is for daddy when he sings to me". There is story behind the fish...long ago my mom sent halibut and salmon back from AK with the mayor's dad. it all went into the freezer and several months later we opened this huge package of "salmon" only to find it was a fish pillow wrapped in fish market packagaing and weighted with those blue freezer things. Very funny mom!

Ballet

Little Bit started ballet yesterday. she is taking it from a young woman in our ward who decided to start her own dance lessons. She is only 15 and we think she is adorable! the girls love her, she was the first babysitter we ever hired. Little Bit had so much fun and is still showing us all the "moves" she learned. I often hear - no mom, you are doing it wrong! She is excited for next week and wishes it were everyday! She has a couple friends from church in there with her, so that makes it extra fun.

The Drama!!!!!

(hey booboo, they are wearing the "makeup" in these pics - we drew hearts and flowers and butterflies with the "blusher", pretty lip gloss and just touch of eye color! they love it!)

Monday and Tuesday were beautiful here! We loved being outside and spent a good chunck of both days outside. Little Bit has decided that she only likes to give a sad face for the camera. in that first picture, she was "sad because Little Dude told her she wasn't good at jump rope". It's little dude's new thing lately and she is getting quite good. problem is little bit wants to do everything big sis does, big sis doesn't like that and so when l.b. can't - l.d. makes a big deal out of it and makes l.b. feels bad....ahhhh the drama! amd i forsee soo mch more drama as they get older!

another co-op

Yep - we are part of another co-op if you will. a date night co-op. we love it! We haven't "dated" this much since, well, um before we were married. It was our turn this past Saturday to watch the kiddos (we have three families, with 2 kids each - at least for now, the other two are expecting their 3rd) anyhooo, we watched the kiddos last Saturday while the other two parents went out. This Saturday - it will be one their turns to watch and we'll go out. next weekend, the other. So basically in exchange for one night of watching kids, you get two date nights! I love it - it cuts the cost down quite a bit for date night, as we don't have to pay a sitter. so find yourself some friends and start dating again!

Bedtime Braids

I couldn't resist one picture with those cute ears on!

Little Bit will often ask for braids after bath time so her hair doesn't get as tangled over night. (we also recently bought satin pillowcases which are supposed to help with that). So little Dude wanted to have braids too - but with her hair so short now, two braids were not an option. so we ended up with lots of braids and today she has crimpy hair - complete with a partial ponytail off to one side to complete the 80's look!

Happy Easter!

Baby Summer
what was in your eggs????? Little Bit and her friend

We had a great Easter weekend! Friday morning we had an egg hunt with friends despite the rain. The girls had a 17 month "sister" for 3 days, they loved playing with Baby Summer! The skirts finally got done, I even made cute little flower corsages for their sweaters, but would they wear them? no - they came off as soon as we got to church....oh well. My favorite treats in the eggs were the reese's peanut butter eggs and the starburst jelly beans. they are so yummy! Iusually don't like jelly beans, but the starburst ones and the jelly belly, well, those are just too good to pass up!

the wind sat me down!

so cute! That is what Little Bit told me when we were walking along the river this weekend. We took the llamas for a walk and it was SOOOO windy! Crazy windy by the river, by the sun was warm and it was all fun, until Little Dude fell into a pool of water just deep enough to get her pant leg and shoes and socks wet. Little Bit was so proud of herself, she led Vixie just about all the way home - all by herself and loved every minute of it. She told me "mom, I'm doing a pretty good job with this girly! She is just so fun to listen to. We saw 3 sets of deer, 7 in all and a crazy horse that I thought was going to jump the fence to get a closer look at those llamas.
