SO MUCH FUN!

We took the girls to Disneyland last week and had so much fun! They loved playing with their cousin Max and LOVED Disneyland. Of course the favorites were the princesses - we stood in line for over an hour to meet three unknown princesses...they block your view so you don't know who you will get to meet...we met Ariel, Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine. Although Ariel was the girl's favorite going in, she wasn't as personable as Aurora and therefore Aurora is now the fav. Little Bit's favorite ride was the spinning teacups and the Ladybugs (same as the teacups only you can't make them spin faster) I think Little Dude would agree with the teacups, although she did ride a BIG rollercoaster at SeaWorld and liked that. We had so much fun - thanks Aut and Jeff and Max for letting us stay with you! We loved it! We had fun at the beach, once in the morning before Disney and once in the evening for a bonfire. we also went to seaworld and the San Diego Wild Animal park (which was a let down after hearing it's praises) over it was a wonderful trip - the weather was perfect - about 70 - perfect for jeans, a t-shirt and flip flops!

We had a fun Valentine's Weekend, on Friday afternoon the girls and I made cinnamon rolls and delivered them to some of our friends. Saturday morning, we had cinnamon rolls with pink frosting and strawberries for breakfast. For dinner a heart shaped pizza, rootbeer, and valentine's candy. I had planned to make each of the girls a heart shaped chocolate cake, but with all the candy they got, I skipped it. They didn't miss it at all and it will funt o make them another time when they least expect it. I have never liked valentine's day - I've always thought it was on over-rated hallmark holiday. Even when I got married, it still wasn't a great holiday - we celebrated it cause we felt liek we had to??? But this year, it was fun, the girls were so excited to make valentines for their friends and we've been reading lots of valentine books. It was fun to make everything pink or heart shaped. I even find myself looking forward to it next year - what new fun things will we do - what did we do this year that can be carried over to other holidays (maybe cinnamon rolls???? I used two super easy recipes - yep I made a lot of cinnamon rolls - green tinted frosting for St. Patty's day?, blue or an assortment of pastels for easter? it could go on and on! Thanks Aut and Joanne for the recipes!)

busy busy busy!

So I should be doing other things - like making the valentine's for Little Dude's class party on Thursday, finishing a chore chart for a friend who is paying me to do it, cleaning my house.... the list goes on and on, but I havne't been doing those things. I've been sewing...cute and easy dresses. Sewing isn't always cheaper then what you can buy in the store - it's just more fun and my girls love it when I make them soemthing. Little Bit picked out her material for her dress - can you tell. I would not have picked that - but she loves it and that is all that matters. Little Dude was at school so I got to pick out her material and selected the cherries. I love cherries. Can you tell she didnt' want her picture taken? She was busy playing a game on the computer and didn't want to be interrupted (but notice the raised toe - she couldnt' not pose for a picture!) Little Bit loves to pose for pictures and Little Dude just had to jump in that first picture. The shirts don't always match, but that's because they are so excited to wear what I make them - they just have to put it on RIGHT NOW! :) funny girls! Anyway the skirt was supposed to be for valentine's day, but I guess they will get them a little early.
