The Kindergartener

Here she is - this is Little Dude's kindergarten photo. I can't believe how quickly she is growing up - and let me just tell you - she has learned so many new things in the short time she has been at school this year - not all in the classroom. :) She has great dance moves!

If you've been saving box tops for her, now is the time to send them to us. She has to turn them in next week (the 17th) Keep saving though, she has to turn them in several time throughout the year.

No training wheels

Little Dude loves to ride her bike. We've been telling her all summer that at the end of the summer we'd take off the training wheels. Well, last weekend, I decided it was time. off they came and off she went. Little Dude did so good, she does really well until she stops pedaling. Or she freaks herself out cause she has gone too far in her mind, or loses her confidence or something. She is super excited about it and practices whenever she can.

I will miss these mornings

One day before school started I came downstairs to find these two cuddles up on the couch. I love lazy mornings. I'm not really a morning person, I'd rather stay up at night. I love staying in bed until I *have* to get up, and lately that has been early! No more sleeping in for this household!

Cupcakes

Today Little Dude had a friend over for lunch. They both start kindergarten on this coming Monday, but are in different classes. I made them some fun cupcakes - straight from the Family Fun magazine. I love how they turned out and more importantly - the girls loved them!

First Day of School!

Can you believe it? Little Dude had her first day of kindergarten today. Granted it was only 20 minutes and I was outside in the hallway, but still she was there. She goes in again on Friday for an hour and then next week starts riding hte bus every day. I can't believe she is old enough to go to school.

Today was another fun hair style day - not sure how doing Little Dude's hair every morning is going to go once school starts, but we shall see. She goes in Tuesday morning for 20 minutes for an acessment test and then not again til Friday morning for an hour with half of her class and then she starts regularly on the 8th.
