I will miss these mornings

One day before school started I came downstairs to find these two cuddles up on the couch. I love lazy mornings. I'm not really a morning person, I'd rather stay up at night. I love staying in bed until I *have* to get up, and lately that has been early! No more sleeping in for this household!

Cupcakes

Today Little Dude had a friend over for lunch. They both start kindergarten on this coming Monday, but are in different classes. I made them some fun cupcakes - straight from the Family Fun magazine. I love how they turned out and more importantly - the girls loved them!

First Day of School!

Can you believe it? Little Dude had her first day of kindergarten today. Granted it was only 20 minutes and I was outside in the hallway, but still she was there. She goes in again on Friday for an hour and then next week starts riding hte bus every day. I can't believe she is old enough to go to school.

Today was another fun hair style day - not sure how doing Little Dude's hair every morning is going to go once school starts, but we shall see. She goes in Tuesday morning for 20 minutes for an acessment test and then not again til Friday morning for an hour with half of her class and then she starts regularly on the 8th.

Day One

Potty Training - Day one - a success - no accidents since we put the underwear on this morning!!! I *think* she gets it. I didn't even have to bride with treats! We'll see how tomorrow goes. Way to go Little Bit!

We met Little Dude's teacher tonight and she seems really nice. She lives just down the street from where Marmar and Pawpaw are moving (small world). Little Dude can't wait to start kindergarten - although today she did ask if we could visit her preschool teacher from last year.

hair!

I love this blog http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/ she has great ideas, (yes I need the help) and has great links to other great hair blogs. Sometimes I remember to take pictures of their hair when we play, sometimes I don't. This was the result yesterday for church. Little bit wouldn't hold still long enough for a good shot, but she looked so cute with her hair up. Little Dude held still a long time (30 minutes at least) for this hair do, definately not a school day style, but it was fun. Some things I learned along the way, wet hair is better, wet hands are not. for shorter hair, you have to make shorter ponytails - make them closer together or once the little girl sits in the car on the way to church they'll fall out.
